Ken Seymour has been inspecting homes since 1989. A former police detective with
Broward County for 22 years, he got his home inspector’s license and worked in the
home inspection business in his spare time.
Now retired from the police force, he has been running KS Home Inspection full-time
since he moved to Palm Coast in 2003. It is a certified and registered company,
a member of the Flagler County Chamber of Commerce and a member in good standing
of the Housing Inspection Foundation.
“We do home inspections, residential and commercial property inspections and 4-point
insurance inspections of plumbing, heating, A/C and electrical,” Ken said. His son
Brandon, who is also a certified home inspector, works with him.
Although nationally home sales have slowed down, KS Home Inspection is finding
business remains steady. It is licensed to service homes in Putnam, St. John’s,
Volusia and Flagler Counties.
Even though homes in Palm Coast are new, Ken finds the older homes built in the
1800s in Putnam County and the homes in St. Augustine that were built in the 1500s
and 1600s are “interesting structures.” Overall, “I’m pretty well known,” Ken said.
“I get a lot of referrals by word of mouth.”
